Here we have the first place award certificate at the republic level inspection, 1961, issued by the Council of Ministers of the Latvian SSR. It is true that there are mistakes with the first and last names which were printed on the blank form by typewriter – as if he were a foreigner with unpronounceable passport data.
For the sake of fairness, we must acknowledge that the Latvian Council of Ministers was not the last one to have strange difficulties with his surname: the person who announced the participants of the third round of the Queen Elisabeth Competition pronounced it as if clearing her throat, Khirshkhorne. However, when it came time for the final results, the name of the winner was pronounced without any extra consonants, as if the crystallization of success in the competition automatically meant cleaning the image of any impurities.
